Perfect Host – Logo Design

Perfect Host needed to begin re-branding their image and requested the creation of a new logo design. The design had to represent their company qualities and character. As with all projects, understanding the company’s purpose and target audience was critical.

The business is based in Leeds, providing support hosting events and parties. Their services truly fill a niche in the market that is not being catered for. Most other companies aim specifically at large events such as weddings, corporate events and large scale dinner parties. Perfect Host was aimed at the other end of the spectrum; providing services for smaller events. In particular home hosting settings ranging from: dinner parties, birthday celebrations, children’s parties as well as other social gatherings. Perfect Host’s aim was to take away the stress and responsibility from the event organiser and provide a helping hand. This allowed the organiser to enjoy the experience as much as their guests.

The previous logo lacked the brand personality the client desired. I felt it represented a catering aspect to their business which wasn’t being provided as a service. The immediate requirements of the new logo were that it needed to be a fresh, clean and simple design. It had to represent the qualities that Perfect Host demonstrated during their hosting service: friendly, reassuring, confident, dependable, a touch of luxury and that all aspects of the event are taken care of.

The choice of font gave the brand a personal touch. The inclusion of the tagline clearly displayed their unique selling point. The circular form hinted at the Perfect Host providing an all-round hosting service.
